June 24 will mark one year since the United States Supreme Court ruled in the Dobbs v Jackson case that abortion access was not a right protected under the Constitution. This decision reversed Roe v Wade and made it possible for state legislatures to enact strict and severe abortion bans. North Dakota Senate Bill 2150 was signed by the governor in spring of 2022 making North Dakota one of the most hostile states for abortion seekers. Between abortion bans and anti-trans bills, this truly was a devastating and disappointing legislative session for personal autonomy.
This event is hosted by the ACLU of North Dakota, Planned Parenthood North Dakota, the Red River Women's Clinic, and the North Dakota WIN Fund.
